BACKGROUND…
James Fox Higgins has been producing music since he borrowed his first 4-track recorder from his high school music department. Since the thing was gathering dust in a store room, his music teacher allowed him to hang onto it pretty much for the duration of his high school years, and with it started exploring the art of recording music and writing songs. Soon he was winning local music competitions and bringing other upcoming musicians into the fold to develop music collaboratively.
Advance a decade and a half, skip over something like 12 unique computer based recording systems, 5 versions of Protools, hundreds of original songs, and an ever expanding back catalog of releases, Higgins has now established himself in the global music industry as a force to be reckoned with.
His first production company was called Roff Revolution Productions, created in partnership with the other half of his first original act Nude Continuum. When the pair parted ways, James reinvented himself with the guidance of his totem animal (The Fox) and rebooted the band as Soul Continuum, taking the centre-front position as lead singer.
It wasn’t long before James was looking to expand his musical horizons further, and he began his first ever solo project under the moniker of the Quick Brown Fox. Releasing one EP and selling out of pressed copies within a year, he decided the solo venture was well worth putting his own name. Coming out of the closet as James Fox Higgins was the next logical step, and so all of his projects and collaborations came together under the banner of Quick Brown Fox Music, a new and exciting cross-genre label ready to expose to the world some of the freshest undiscovered talent around.
James Fox Higgins is constantly at work developing new material in the genres of soul, pop, funk, rock, RnB, house and hip hop, and who knows what is around the corner. The only pre-requisite is quality.
At this point in time, Quick Brown Fox Music is one of the only labels around that IS accepting unsolicited demo material.
